DO I HAVE TO TAKE AN 4 WEEK, 80 HOUR COURSE?

No. Goldline CDL provides 1-2 days of training and a 3rd day for the final test. Our program includes the same vehicle for training as testing, practice the day of the final test and the final test. Retakes are no extra charge. Some students may require additional training for a fee.

WHAT IS NEEDED TO TAKE GOLDLINE CDL COURSE?

You must have your permit before registering. It's recommend to have experience backing a trailer for a Class A and experience driving manual transmission for an unrestricted license. ​

Does Goldline CDL offer THeory Training?

Yes. Goldline provides online theory training for Class A, Class B, School Bus, Passenger and Hazmat. The student completes it on their own phone or computer and at their desired pace.

What if I can't back up a trailer?

It takes a lot of time to master backing skills, unfortunately more than most can learn in a few days. If you don't have these skills and are unable to back up a trailer, you can still get a Class B license. 

What if I can't drive a manual transmission?

We encourage all our students to get the highest license they can. We have a 6-speed synchronized manual transmission with air brakes and 40' low-bed trailer for an unrestricted Class A license. Not everyone can manage a manual transmission so we also have an automatic in our fleet. Let us know at registration which transmission you will be driving with us.

what is a restricted cdl license?

When you test for a Class A in a manual truck you get an unrestricted license. However, if you drive an automatic transmission for your exam, you would be restricted from driving a manual transmission. Similarly, if you get a Class B license you would be restricted from towing a trailer.

I want to remove automatic restrictions.

Great! First, get a permit to remove the restriction. Then call Goldline CDL for an appointment for the drive-only portion of the exam.

What happens if i don't get 80% pass rate?

Per FMCSA regulations, you can't progress to the DOT exam without passing the program at 80% or more. Unfortunately, some skills take a long time to master and not everyone has the ability to get their CDL. If possible we will help you get a restricted license instead.

Do you offer refunds?

​There is no refund once an invoice is paid.

If the student is unable to pass an portion of the program with minimum grade of 80%, or if the student is dismissed from the program or if the student decides to quit during the program, there is no refund.

I DON‘T LIVE IN iowa. can you help me?

Absolutely. Goldline provides online theory as well as skill and drive training in Manchester, Iowa. We will also arrange for the final exam in Manchester, Iowa. You will need to return to your home state for your license.

I have my theory done, can i TAKE btw with you?

Yes. If you already have a certificate of completion for online theory, you can complete the behind-the-wheel training with Goldline CDL. We would like to be your source for both the theory and BTW training. Our theory is only $25.00 for each license class or endorsement needed.
